SAP Fullform- Software, Appliactions, and Products in data proessing.
SAP is developed by SAP AG, a German Company.
SAP R/3 (ERP) and SAP CRM are the hottest products of SAP AG.
SAP can be categorised into three parts.
SAP Functional - SAP functional has many modules like Finance, HR, PP- Plant Production, etc. This is the highl paid group among other SAP categories. One has to have two years of respective domain experiance to become a Functional Consultant.
SAP Technical (ABAP) - It deals with programming and developement. Anyone with two years of programming experiance can become a technical ABAP consultant.
SAP Basis - SAP Basis deals with maintaining SAP database.
