Our client is a large distribution company established since 1990’s with a turnover of over one billion dirham and they have grown as one of the most respectable tyre manufacturers in their own right. They have offices in more than 8 countries across the 4 continents.

Position : SAP BI Consultant reporting to Head SAP Operations
Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Purpose :
SAP BI consultant is responsible for providing the necessary solution for the day to day issues and requirements arising in SAP BI Module and be a key contributor in all the new SAP initiatives for the future.


Day to Day Activities :

Will be responsible for analyzing the tickets raised by end users and providing solution as per best practices.
Providing necessary training and knowledge transfer to the end users to enhance the skill level of the users.
Coordinate with the R/3 Module consultants for the new developments and enhancements
Responsible to carry out all the Technical activities related to BI like Data extraction, Modeling, report designing … and so on
Carry out the necessary initial/unit testing for the changes and communicate the same with the core user/department head.
Responsible for maintaining all the necessary documentation requirements

Educational qualification:
- University degree
- Certification from SAP AG Germany

Experience :
- 2 – 4 years of work experience as a BI Consultant with 2 end to end implementations experience.

Special requirements :
- Proficient in implementing BI within a complex SAP architecture in the areas of data modeling using MDM and BW extended star schema models
- BW Data extraction: Experienced in Data Extraction from SAP R/3 , enhancing SAP extractors, developing custom extractors, and excellent knowledge of SAP BW components like Data source Enhancement, User Exits.
- BW Generic data extraction: Created, activated and worked on a daily basis with Generic Extractors based on Tables, Views and Infosets.
- Error troubleshooting, applying of OSS notes and alignment of SP.
- Well versed in installation, simulation and activation of Standard Business Content.
- BW ABAP: complex Start Routines, Routines for Transfer Rules, Update Routines and User Exits.
- Expertise in defining and maintaining info providers like Info Cubes, ODS objects and master data tables along with Infosets, remote Info cubes and Multi Providers
- Well versed in maintaining aggregates, aggregate roll-up, partitioning of fact tables/PSA, and compression of Info cubes
- Good knowledge in developing Bex reports using Bex Analyzer, Bex Browser, and Web Application Designer and implementing Bex queries consisting of calculated and restricted Key figures, variables, workbooks, currency conversions, security roles and profiles.
- Sound Knowledge in ABAP
- Basis knowledge will be an advantage
- Good understanding skills of business and industry requirements
- Good communication skills , target and team oriented

Competencies required:
- Hard core individual who can be very strong but also understand the sensitivities of the people in the organization
- Able to provide leadership in the area of expertise he is performing and be able to demonstrate by leading the discussions and convincing the stakeholders
- Team worker
- Able to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
